Emerging Markets for LED Lights

LEDs in general are among the fastest growing products in the world widely being accepted by consumers due to the fact that it is energy efficient and cost effective. Lots of entrepreneurs are into the manufacturing of different kinds of LED lights mainly Energy Saving LED Outdoor Bulbs as it is very profitable. The majority of them are from mainland China. One of my client is also the manufacturer of different sorts of LED Lights based in Hong Kong with factories in Guangzhou.

My client like almost every other asked me to focus on USA as in the minds of manufacturer it is the largest market for LED Lights. But on the other hand it is the most competitive market as well where buyers play on prices and certificates (which are mandatory). I did a bit of market research to find out what are the emerging markets and proven markets where the need for LED Lightings is on the rise if not high.

I found out that Middle East and South East Asia is one of the emerging markets for LED Lights with high demand for LED Light Bulb, LED High Bay Lights and LED Street Lights. The market trend is on the rise there mainly because of the flourishing Hotel Industry and a  boom in economy which has led to many high rise buildings all needing lightings and LED being the first and foremost choice. And since the population that the country is moving to those emerging cities of tomorrow so evidently there is a rise in indoor LED Lightings as well such as Indoor LED Tube Lights Manufacturer, LED Spot Lights etc.

So it is evident that South East Asia and Middle East are or should be the top choice for LED Manufacturers who targets USA as their sole choice.

The Rise of LED Lighting

LED’s are increasingly replacing Fluorescent and Incandescent Lightings as the primary source of lights both in home and outdoor use. This has led to the increase in manufacturing of LED Lights throughout the world with China, India, Europe and South Eastern Countries accounting for most of the production. Most of the product concentration is of Energy Saving LED Outdoor Bulbs such as LED Street Lights, LED Flood Lights, and LED Signal Lights etc

Because of the rise of usage of LED Lights both Incandescent and fluorescent lights bulbs will become obsolete. Due to factors like cost, energy consumption etc, many countries are banning incandescent lights and major states in USA are also considering imposing a ban on incandescent lights. The LED Lights is the only substitute which provides both energy efficiency and environmental friendliness at the same time and this is the major reason why LED Lighting is becoming the top choice for both outdoor and commercial use.

According to Phillips spokesperson, they are even planning to stop manufacturing incandescent lights by the end of 2016, but industry analyst says that most of the consumers will switch long before this date considering the rapid shift that is taking place already. Within few years, the cost of usage difference will motivate more numbers of consumers. For Example the Annual Average Operating Cost of Indoor LED Tube Lights Manufacturer is $32.85 and on the other hand the normal CFL Incandescent Bulbs operating cost is $76.65. So it proves that consumer shift is obvious considering that an energy efficient and cost effective alternative is readily and widely available.

Moreover, the current advancements in LED Technology mean that the brightness and cost effectiveness of LEDs will increase in the coming years. And the popularity of LEDs among the consumers indicates the forthcoming demise of Traditional Lighting for good.

LED Introduction & Advantages

LED Bulb
Led (Light Emitting Diode), is an electronic component which is used for lighting in different devices, instruments and vehicles such as Enery Saving LED Outdoor Bulbs, LED Tubes, Outdoor LED Lights etc. Early diodes were of low intensity and were available in only one color i.e. red but latter innovations in LED industry let the LED’s to be more intense, visible and of different wavelength. Today its usage is not limited to a particular industry or product as it is extensively used in different industries for lighting purpose. Aviation lighting, automotive, general lighting, & traffic signals are some of the industries in which it is been used.

As far as its life is concerned, usually it lasts for 100,000 hours, in contrast with the incandescent bulbs which usually lasts for only 5000 hours and also serves different purpose which an incandescent bulb cannot fulfill. Hence, it has an edge over the conventional lighting source. For Example: conventional LED Light Bulbs have a life of 50,000 hours or more. Perhaps that’s not the only factor which keep led’s an striking option for the users, let’s have a look at the cost factor first, the cost of LED is low as compare to the traditional source of lighting, traditional source also includes the cost of replacement & labor cost as well, specially in a large facility where there are a lot of traditional bulbs, the cost of replacement and other will automatically rise, hence this problem can be solved by the LED’s

Another factor that keep LED a smart option is the power consumption factor which is quite low as compare to the traditional source which consumes more energy and requires replacement after a short span of time, whereas LED is known to be 80 percent more efficient that the traditional source of lighting with extended operational life. The market of led lights is constantly growing as its usage has increased from general lighting, aviation lighting to luxury vehicles and even in entertainment business is also using it to a large extent, i.e. in fashion shows, concerts and so on and because of its cost and energy efficiency, more and more household are approaching Outdoor and Indoor LED Tube Lights Manufacturer over traditional electric lights.
